Adjusting to my first semester at college was not easy. I picked a school over 1000 miles away from my home, in a state that I had only been to once to visit the school, and in a city that I barely knew how to navigate. To say I made a daring choice is an understatement. Although I’ve been away from home for an extended period of time before, there were still so many things I needed to adjust to while away at university; my newfound independence, my insane class workload, and the need to navigate public transportation to get anywhere, to name a few. I had moments where I was convinced I picked the wrong school and moments where I knew for certain that I was in the right place. This is a collection of twelve moments in which I knew that I was in the right place. While I’m alway excited to go home for every break my school offers, I also can’t wait to go back.
