Are you a high school or college student, through age 19, who loves writing, art, photography, or film? Do you want to make a difference and help amplify the voices of teens who identify as girls?

Join the editorial team of This Girl’s Story magazine and be part of an exciting journey to create and publish content that matters!

What You’ll Do:

Theme Planning: Collaborate with the team to brainstorm and determine themes for magazine

issues a year in advance.

Submission Review: Read and review submissions, and work with the team to select the best

content for each issue.

Copyediting & Proofreading: Polish articles and artworks, ensuring they are ready for

publication.

Weekly Blog Creation: Take turns creating a weekly blog post, choosing between writing, art, or

video content.

Communication: Engage with submitters, inform those selected of next steps, and gently notify

those whose submissions were not chosen.

Creative Solutions: Explore alternative options for submissions not selected for the magazine -

perhaps a future issue, or maybe social media.

Design & Layout: Have a say in the design and layout of the magazine, making it visually

stunning and reader-friendly.

Recruitment: Help recruit new content contributors and fellow editorial team members.

Time Commitment:

1-2 hours per week over a 3-5 month period.

2-4 hours per week the month before quarterly publication.
